Textbook? This newest version of Essentials of Geology, Edition 6, by Marshak is available in the bookstore, but earlier editions obtained from students who took the course in previous years are sufficient. Canadian access to an on-line electronic version of the Edition 6 of the text can be purchased through VitalSource. PowerPoint Slides: The most up-to-date PowerPoint slides that I am using in lectures are available by clicking on the previous link. Students at McGill have access to MicroSoft PowerPoint through Office365 OneDrive . For weekly lecture content, see the Syllabus/overview page.
Norton Publishing provides a useful series of videos that add to the experience of the course. They are linked here: Videos and Animations
If you are downloading the slide set either directly from the course website or from Office365OneDrive, I suggest that you wait until the Monday preceding the class that uses the slide set in the week's lectures in order to have the most recent basic slide set as used during the lecture. The slides shown in lectures should cover all course expectations. |
