GRADUATION AND CONVOCATION - UNDERGRADUATE
It is the responsibility of every undergraduate student to declare their intention to graduate. The deadline to apply to graduate at the Spring Convocations is in early March. If your record does not indicate that you are graduating and you intend to graduate in the Spring, please contact your faculty Student Affairs Office immediately. Please visit the McGill Convocation website for up-to-date information on convocation dates, deadlines and answers to frequently asked questions. Earth & Planetary Sciences students should check with our Undergraduate Director, Jeanne Paquette , (514-398-4402) to ensure that they have the correct required courses, number of approved complementary courses, and number of credits in order to complete your program requirements. This should be done at least three weeks before the convocation date in order to allow time to resolve any issues that may arise. Approximately one week prior to the convocation date, students can view the status of their graduation approval on Minerva by accessing the Student menu>Student Records menu>Graduation Approval Query. Students should contact their faculty Student Affairs Office with any questions related to their graduation status. Students graduating with a major degree in Earth & Planetary Sciences and whose CGPA is 3.30-3.49 will receive Distinction, and those whose CGPA is 3.50 or higher will receive Great Distinction. Students graduating with an honours degree in Earth & Planetary Sciences and whose CGPA is 3.50 or greater will receive First Class Honours. The Faculty of Science Student Affairs Office will ensure that all degree requirements have been met. Convocation |
